You should check with other people in your area that have tint to see if the cops generally leave them alone. It's a risk getting "illegal" tint, but a lot of the time the cops really don't care as long as the windows are not completely black. 
I just bought a black on black vehicle, too, Matty. I plan to put 35% front and rear to keep it cool in the summer. There is actually a point where tint darkness absorbs more heat than it blocks, and actually makes your car hotter, so don't go too dark. |
Not only that, if you don't have a high profile (like my brother who drives a dropped WRX with rims) and in general are a good driver, they have better things to do than hassle you.
