I was wondering the same thing. Schneed, Crazy is it possible to simply absorb the hit fully now? It seems to me that, since the savings wouldn't go into effect until June 1st
and since Lloyd is actually off the roster, we should be able to simply notify the league that we will take the full hit now. I could see the league saying "no" if it were after the 1st as the bookkeeping would have already been in effect. But in this case, by redesignating it as a pre-June 1 cut, the benefit to both the team and player is unchanged.
Also, even if we were able to do so, would we still have enough cap room for the rookies?
Anybody know what type of deals the picks in the Skins slots got last year?
