Re: Are there any tech junkies on the boards that can help me?

So I tried the steps you said ODS but it didn't do anything. I opened up the command prompt, typed in c: and then chkdsk /r and then the thing came up and said it couldn't run it right now but i could reschedule it so it runs the next time i restart my computer, and i hit y. Then after that I restarted my computer but it didn't do anything, I logged on my account and it never ran or came up.

If all else fails and I start seeing viral-like symtoms on my computer, then my trump card is the recovery disks that came with it. It'll delete everything off my hard drive and essentially give me a clean brand new computer where i'll have to restart everything and download everything i had on it before again, but it's a small price to pay to not have a virus infect my computer. I'd have to go a few days without the internet until my parents could get someone to come in and install this little program that puts my computer in the home network but at the end of the day it's not that bad. My brother got a virus on his, my mother got a virus on hers and it screwed both of them up so bad they couldn't do anything on it again, they couldn't even get the recovery disks to run, and I def. don't want that to happen to me because I'd have to go months without a computer lolol.
