Until Dallas achieves that 6th ring, they still remain in the company of SF and Pittsburgh. If superbowl wins is an indication of a team's greatness then they cannot be heralded as such as long as they share that distinction.
It becomes tiresome when Cowboys fans have nothing better to offer in a football discussion other than attempting to deflect criticism with the 5 rings mantra. I never get that response from Steelers fans. They don't rest on their laurels and you can always count on them to engage in intelligent football discussions. Unlike the typical Dallas fan who, more often than not, struggles to name 5 players on their roster at any given time.

Oh yeah. When I try to narrow it down to just plain W-L records between the Cowboys and Redskins head to head the room somehow still gets real quiet. So it's not just the "SB mantra".
