I will admit the HOF speeches aren't the most exciting thing to watch. It's usually the same thing every year. Thanks God, good lord seems to have a plan, family, friends, and the fans, a few anecdotes here and there, shake hands, stand next to the bust. I mean I enjoyed hearing Darrell Green refer to us as not only the most loyal but one of the smartest fanbases in the country (guess he doesn't look at ES), but besides that the actual induction ceremony didn't do much for me.
However implying that this HOF ceremony was boring because there wasn't a QB inducted or some big name personallity like a Deion is kind of obsurd in my view. I mean if you want entertainment value I guess we could have a competition where HOF inductees have to earn the chance to give a speech american gladiator style but come on.
Keep in mind I'm very happy that two of our favorite players in team history got in at the same time, but for me I just want them to have that honor and for the players it's a big deal to be able to thank people that are important to them. Actually it's kind of a lot of pressure because if you forget to thank someone you're dead

.
My point is you should only expect so much for the speech and the ceremony. The main thrill is seeing the guys you rooted for for so long get a chance to be recognized as one of the best to play the game , but expecting anymore then that is expecting to much.
