It's all about return on investment, and if Boldin isn't playing, AZ has got to be considering their options -- even if they say they aren't. Just because Boldin is under contract doesn't mean AZ won't trade him. If he's not on the field, I guarantee AZ will look at possible trade scenarios (if they haven't already).
P.S.: the vet min thing was a joke (I think)

Okay there is a fine line between "imagine" and "dream" and I think you just crossed it.
Holding out means millions in fines and Boldin does not get paid.
Now I ask you what is the probabilty that Boldin leaves 12 million dollars sitting on the table?
Can't help but think of ALL the players that have said "I'll never play another down for ________ (fill in the team name here).
Last year off-season Lance Briggs said it "I'll never play another down for the Bears". Then. when the holdout starting costing him money in fines and his paycheck, who was the first one in the locker room when camp opened? Briggs, and now he "loves the Bears".
Chad Johnson this past spring. "I'll never play another down for the Bengals" yet when it was HIS paycheck that was going to be affected, he is in camp, on time and LOVES his team.
I could go on and on with lists of players that so-called "hold out" and only 3 come to mind that ACTUALLY did it, or are doing it. One was Emmit Smith who held out through camp and the first 2 weeks of the regular season. When the Cowboys started the season 0-2, they offered Smith his new contract.
And then there is Steven Jackson who has stuck to his guns in St Louis this year and there is still no resolution.
And lastly Jason Peters in Buffalo this year, again sticking to his guns and still no resolution
But with regard to Jackson and Peters, I will bet they have a huge change of stance once week 1 of the regular season starts and they do not get that weekly game check.
Just saying that the probabilty of Boldin holding out for 2 years is extremely LOW. And it borders on the ludicrous.
