I try to ignore the players' contract in evaluating them, especially after the 53 man roster has been set.

The best player should play, regardless of their pay.

If he is the best we have for now, play him.

History does show he is injury prone, no matter how well he plays when he's not hurt.

That has to be a determinant in how long we keep him around after this year.

I'd say if he's out more than 4 games this year with injuries, he won't be around next year.
