Wait, I thought the original quote was that we were expecting a worse President after Bush.
Lincoln followed Buchanan - Arguably the greatest President ever.
Coolidge followed Harding - While not a "great" President, he presided over a period of prosperity, and is generally considered a good President.
F.D.R. followed Hoover - Certainly a great President and maybe the only other one in the same class as Lincoln and Washington.
If
either McCain
or Obama is the next Lincoln, F.D.R. or even Coolidge, I will: 1) Sit in the upper deck of the Linc in full Redskins attire shouting "Eagles suck"; and 2) discount all evidence of global warming as Hell most assuredly had frozen over.
