I'm not saying that JC had a perfect games, and Lord knows I was going insane when he was holding the ball in the first half. But he looked good in that TD drive (notice that Manning did not throw for a TD and with all the passing yard, he never put the game away). There were some opportunities in which the receivers were not open, receivers dropped the ball, and plays were negated by penalties (one catch that cooley had in the first half that was call back).
Besides, for every Sean Payton out there (rookie coach that succeeds) there are many rookie coaches that won't succeed in their first season. People say that Zorn inherited a playoff team, but this is a playoff team with issues that were not necessarily addressed in the offseason (i.e. WRs).
JC is not the QB that will make players around him better (unlike Payton Manning or Tom Brady) he needs good players around him, and right now our WRs group is the same as last year and are showing the same problems. The day that we replace our QB this year, is the day that we go into rebuilding mode. I don't think after 0-1 is that time to do it.
