I am not ready to give up on this team, not by a long shot. There are many reasons to be optimistic, or at least to not be downright depressed. Understood, keep in mind though that the team we saw yesterday is not entirely the team they (the Redskins) have spent the last 8 months putting together. The front office and coaches were not preparing to win the opening game. They were, and still are, preparing to win long term. That's why they brought in Zorn to develop Campbell; Brennan to challenge and learn from Campbell; Kelly, Davis, and Thomas to grow with Campbell; Geisinger and Rinehart to protect Campbell; not to mention the continued development of Heyer and the veteran experience of Moss, Portis, ARE, and Cooley.
And that's just the offense.
So yeah we're all frustrated with a game one loss, but let's remember the big picture.
