EE, that sucks man. I figured race would have been out of the equation on the football field, especially in the 21st century. The article wasn't clear, but I'm wondering if the slurs were coming from the other team or actually from the stands.

The above article lists why I was fascinated with media back as an undergrad. No mention anywhere of the racial stuff... I wonder how the editorial meeting must have gone discussing this story for the local paper.
