I liked what he had to say here, summed up what we need to do pretty nicely:
Quote:
If Washington can come out and establish some power up front, and Patrick can just hit the intermediate passes that keep drives alive ... you know he’s capable of taking it deep, so even just the threat of that alone should soften the defense up a bit. Pat just can’t panic. He can’t think he’s go in and think he has to be Peyton Manning—he just has to go in there and be efficient with the football, a little bit like the Jets run their offense, to where you’re getting the tight ends involved ... and you’re taking your shots, but not turning the ball over.
If this offense can just play smart—not conservative, just smart—and not give it away, then hope that [CB’s Shawn] Springs and [Fred] Smoot and that secondary can match up against [WR] Terrell Owens, they’ve got a good chance. Now, they’re going to have to get pressure on the quarterback ... tou don’t need “frantic” pressure, but controlled pressure that won’t allow [QB Donovan] McNabb to get out of the pocket. That’s what’s going to be the biggest challenge.
