I still remember Gibbs' first draft day party held at FedEx. He, Buges and Williams were on a stage soaking in the fans excitement and someone shouted out to Gibbs "how you gonna get a pass-rush". Gibbs gave some answer about finding ways to maike it happen while behind his back Williams kept flashing "5" "6" with his hands. These guys came in thinking LaVar was gonna be the man. But just like with every other pro coach he had, LaVar was gonna be LaVar and damn the assignment.

He has been bad mouthing Gibbs from the moment he left the Skins. At one of his first Giants' news conferences, he was asked who the worst coach he ever played for was and, without hesitating, he said Gibbs. I lost ALL respect for him after that.

One last note: After leaving, the players were asked about his departure and one (identified only as a "team leader") responded along the lines "he made a couple of plays a game, but there were at least three games where his mistakes cost us the game."

The LaVar Lovers always made excuses for this waste of talent, but I just think he was an overrated me-first player. If only Fletcher had LaVar's talent, he would be the best LB in the history of the game (not saying Fletch is not talented only that Fletch gets the most out every bit of his ability).

I would say if only Fletch had Lavar's body/size but talent wise Fletch is got this guy beat.
