Fair enough, but by the same logic, we would have a decent chance of beating Philadelphia because the score will be low and close, and we did put up 20+ on them last time.
Also, this game is going to be the 5th game this year we will play against a solidly inferior team, and you have to think at some point, we're going to run into a poor effort from their defenses. I mean, you look at the Rams, Browns, Lions, and Seahawks, and every one of those defenses (especially the first two) played our offense harder and more aggressively than they've played most of the year. Is it safe to assume that the Bengals will do the same? Or do you think that there's a chance that their pass rush just totally mails it in and Campbell picks them to shreds?
I think our offensive numbers would look a lot better this year if we didn't get such a great last-ditch season-saving defensive effort from the bad defenses we have played. I'm not saying we won't see more of the same from the Bengals, but I'm open to the possibility.
