Maybe that's what you see. But, i've seen alot of 3 step drop passing.
Sometimes the receivers aren't open because some teams are playing underneath coverage in effort to take the short passes away and JC has to hold the ball, then the pressure comes.




Hopefully this game won't provide a good example of the 3-step drop focus, because we'll try get the intermediate passing game going. But, i'd bet that we'll start off with the 3-step stuff and if you look at the previous games JC thows alot of hitches, slants an quick in-breaking routes from rhythm in a 3 step drop.



The 3 step drop (quick passing scheme) does protect a weak offense line that's why we do it soo much. And i wouldn't exactly call our offense a spread WCO because we rarely go 4-5 wide. Although i think we should, i would love to see more 4-5 wide and put JC in shotgun.

I like that idea(5 wide), but we don't have the horses yet to effectively go 5 wide. The rooks need to step up there game for us to do that or JC might end up getting killed. Hell, has Kelly even played in a game yet?
