The Jets reached out to former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan.

And Shanahan rebuffed them.

So reports Gary Myers and Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News, citing an unnamed source.

Shanahan told NFL Network that he plans to take two weeks off before speaking with any prospective employers.

The Jets are now expected to focus on Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
