The money a person would get for spilling the beans would be unreal and news sources would just throw them the bank to bring down the largest sport in the US.

Oh contraire bud. The guy who would even consider spilling the beans would be capped ASAP, and the media wouldn't even consider bringing down one of its big money makers now would it? Where would the fall/winter revenue go for all the networks if the NFL was covered as a fraud? Idiots on ESPN, etc would be more than willing to go along with the fixing if were true. Why do you think all the networks hype the NFl anyway? They aren't going to bring down a source of what, say billions in revenue? When was the mass media ever about the turth in recent time anyway? I don't think the games are fixed per say, but I think they are "controlled" during big games. When you see teams getting flagged left and right all of a sudden when they went through the regular season with a relatively low number of holding calls, you have to wonder. Also, why are some calls left unchallengable? You get too many phantom calls on holding than anything else. League has too much power that can indeed lead to a permanent change in momentum in any one game. Case in point, the SB here in Detroit. I was for the Steelers, but I came away from that one thinking the Seahawks indeed did get hosed. Yellow flags killed their momentum from possibly putting the game away in the first half. The penalties called in the NFL are too subjective and thus can be manipulated easily.
