The free meal was as good a reason, as when I go out to Texas Roadhouse and wait for a good while for a meal that is not free. From the tone on this thread you would think people had committed heresy to go and take advantage of a good offer, and good food.

No worries man! It is your time and your stomach. I worked in the hospitality industry for ten years and we were always taught you are not selling them a meal or room you are selling them the experience. It sounds like you had a good experience with your family at a good price in a tough economy. That my friend is a win!
