Second, are you referring to 3-4 OLB from the draft, FA or either? See I had the idea that Suggs could be that guy for us, sitting at SLB most downs but dropping down to end for instance when we run the Cobra, but it seems less and less likely he'll be available.

Using Taylor creatively = all of the above. And you're absolutely right that he wouldn't be any stronger against the run at LB than at DE, but often our run defense comes a numbers game. Instead of attacking the ball, the OLB usually opts to cut the legs off the lead blocker so that Horton or Fletcher has a clean path to the ball.
