Re: Redskins Mt. Rushmore

I'd put the most iconic figures on the Redskins Mt. Rushmore:

Jack Kent Cooke, the flamboyant tycoon who made our beloved franchise into a monster

George Allen, the obsessive winner who did more than anyone else to build up the greatest rivalry in the pro football

Dexter Manley, the lovable man-child who showed why we wanted Dallas by practically raping Danny White

John Riggins, the charismatic anti-hero who busted through to the end zone during SB 17 in what must be the greatest play in Redskins history

For my money, these guys are the soul of the Redskins. Despite their flaws, these are the kind of guys you tell stories about to your sons. These are the kind of guys that make you thankful that you are a Redskins fans and have them as your heroes. Hell, these are the kind of guys that make you think that it's possible that even if you didn't have a connection to Washington and didn't even like football that much, you still would have been a Redskins fan because of them.
