I don't mean to be a hater or anything like that, but that's what stood out to me - his falling down, balance (I mistakenly questioned this as his lack of strength), and technique (specifically leaning/overextending).
You can't overlook any of this with a Center. And if you notice in the article, Mack expressed the scrutiny that the scouts had with him. They all want to be comfortable with picking him up earlier in the round rather than later (at the expense of what could be- being able to picking someone else with a better impact for the team). And maybe that's part of the scrutiny, too; they may be trying to see if he is willing and flexible enough to change if need be.

I understand what you're saying. I'm not trying to be a horses ass. I think, THINK, part of the reason Mack ends up overextending and falling is because of his aggressiveness. He does not stop. So after he blocks his man, he either just keeps on with him until the whistle blows, or until him and his man go down. He is relentless. Sometimes he goes to another player that he may not even be in position to block an overextends, but he goes after him anyway. I look at this as a good thing. What bothers me is, seeing linemen on their feet just standing there because they blocked the one guy they were suppose to, or the play has already gone by them. Mack doesn't just fall down like a big oaf, he's usually taking someone with him. Sometimes 2 or 3 someones. At least that's what I've seen from watching a lot of film on him.
