As hard as some of the fans on this board are coming down on the Redskins right now, by season's end, I betcha they'll be looking back at this game and praising them for their efforts, including Patrick Ramsey. I'm seeing all these threads that appear to me to suggest that being optimistic isn't being realistic. To be realistic, I could almost bet you my life savings (of course it's not much right now), that if Patrick Ramsey had some how gotten that pass completed to Cooley in the end zone instead of throwing the pick, then we would probably be hearing about how Ramsey is once again the next Bret Farve and we would probably hear about how gutsy the play call was to throw it in the end zone and how Gibbs had the confidence in his team to go for the win. Of course, it didn't happen and Patrick Ramsey and Joe Gibbs should be banished to purgatory for the rest of their lives. I don't get it! We played the best team in the NFC, possibly the best team in the NFL extremely close and came close to coming back and beating them. I think that shows that this team has made some progress. I don't think this team lost any confidence..as a matter of fact, I think now they might have earned some respect...at least with the Eagles. This team right now can easily finish the season at 7-9 if they play as hard as they did against the Eagles. 7-9 would be better than last year and it would help us to end the season on a positive note that would carry into next season.
