Personally, if we were to pick a Maryland guy I would have probably preferred Edwin Williams but I think this is a really underrated choice. Good insurance I think if Rogers doesn't return. But more likely, it expedites Smoot's departure.

I know they like the progress Tryon made, but I think Barnes automatically passes him on the depth chart and gives Smoot a serious run at the nickel slot.
