Re: The Vick Factor

What Vick did was horrible and there is absolutely no excuse for it, but he has paid his debt to society. What I see in our offense is a lack of playmakers. Moss is the only guy I feel like when he does get the ball he can take it to the house or the ability to make an exciting game changing play that gives confidence to the rest of the offense. Cooley and Portis are steady players who can get the first down when needed, they are reliable players. JC plays a little robotic but has big play ability if he would stop over thinking everything. Randle El was suppose to be the game changer, big play, unorthodox weapon of our offense and special teams...he makes a big play once a year, but really hasnt lived up to the hype. I say give Vick a one year deal. I would not trade a pick for him, but wait until he is released and sign to 1 year. Wildcat formation would be exciting to see. Taking swing out passes out of the backfield in space would be exciting to see. Taking reverses, double-reverses from the wideout position would be exciting to see. Getting a screen pass would be exciting to see. Seeing him throw the ball,....not that excited to see. I would NOT want him throwing the ball, but seeing him return a punt or getting the ball in space would be a shot to the offense that we lack. Deffenses would have to game plan for him. 5-10 touches a game, for one year, lets see what would happen.
