Redskins' Veterans Won't Have To Spend The Night At Camp

Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn just made himself more popular with the team's veteran-laden roster.
According to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, Zorn informed the team recently that players with four years or more in the league don't have to spend the night at training camp in the team dormitories.
Per the report, the Redskins' vets will be
allowed to go home and remain there overnight during camp. However, they will obviously have to return on time in the morning for meetings and practice.
Zorn told La Canfora that the impetus behind the move is to try to keep the team fresher one year removed from running out of gas following a 6-2 start.
The veteran-friendly practice isn't unprecedented around the league.
Former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick used to let veterans spend the night at home, but John Harbaugh abolished the practice last year when he took over.
