After I hit enter I realized that the first part of what I said is not true and I need to recant that statement. Social Security will have a hugh impact on when I can retire and how much money I will have. I know people say don't depend on SS for your retirement which I agree but I'm talking about the money they take and its effect. If they did not take that money from me each month (I pay double as self emp.) I could have used that money to invest and have alot more choices on when I retire and also have a WHOLE LOT MORE MONEY to retire on.
