Same label was placed on John Elway, who had 5 playoff losses before they started making runs to the SB in Denver.

Likewise with Peyton Manning, 5 playoff losses before his team started winning.

Even Jason Campbell is being made a scapegoat in Washington, else why would they have tried and failed to trade for a replacement twice in one off-season.

I cant help but remember the Ravens game at Texas Stadium last season. The Dallas offense was able to keep a lead deep in the 4th quarter. Then the DEFENSE allowed and 82 yard TD run.

Very next set of plays, the Dallas Offense marched down field and took the lead again. Yep, with Tony Romo under pressure, but he still got it in the end zone.

Ravens next possesion, the DEFENSE allowed a 77 yard TD run which cost the game.

And still the blame eventually fell to the QB. Cant win the big game.

That is the price of being a QB in the NFL. You will always bask in the wins, but no matter how well an individual effort is, the loss gets blamed on you too.

And for teams like Washington and Dallas, the pressure is a bit higher. They are large market teams. And each team has deep playoff runs and/or championship seasons in almost every decade. the Cowboys have been a perinial playoff team is every decade since thier inception. The Cowboys have been in and or won a Super Bowl at least once in every decade since thier inception except one, the 1980's. But in the 1980's they were and the conference championship game more than once.

So there is a bit more pressure on them because the expectations are so high.

Not making excuses for Romo, more than a few times I have cussed him because of poor throws or decisions. But equally so, I have enjoyed what he has done.

I'll bet many of you can say the same for JC. Your cussin one minute and wearing his jersey the next.
QB's are praised when the team wins, and QB's are the scapegoat when they lose, we all know that.

I dont think the defense had anything to do with Romo dropping the extra point hold.....oh wait, Ware distracted him by yelling from the sideline...must be the defenses fault.

Tony Romo was 16 the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game. Romo is overrated, and for a QB that hasnt won anything, talking heads still line up to kiss his butt.
