Re: Redskins Best Ever series: OFFENSIVE TACKLE
Over the years we have been very blessed at the Tackle position. If I pick one it's Jake.
1 - Joe Jacoby: Started in all 3 SBs. All-Decade 1980s. 4 Consecutive Pro Bowls, 2 1st Team All-Pros. One of he first 300+ pounders who was also athletic. Could maul in the run game and was excellent in pass-pro.
2 - Turk Edwards: Started in 2 NFL Championships for the Skins. All Decade 1930s, All NFL 1932-39. Member of HoF.
3 - Jim Lachey: Started in 1 SB. 3 Pro Bowls, 3 1st Team All-Pros as a Skin. Technique second to none. Probably better than Jacoby in pass-pro.
As far as the DCPSR List so far, IMO should be: Green, Ken Houston, Olkewicz, Hanburger, Mann, Butz.
