There are probably 20-30 backs that could gain 1500 yards if they got all of their team's carries (Giants and Ravens have 3 each), but that formula doesn't work any more. Everyone needs to be a weapon, and everyone needs to be fresh down the stretch. No more running Portis into the ground.

I too like the idea of a greater committee approach but try convincing Portis of that.
