A few years ago while i was still in school they had demonstration where they compared the domestication of animals to the enslavement of African Americans. They made huge signs comparing African Americans and animals like dogs and cats in similar situations (locked up in crates or pens), as wells as animals being hit and slaves being whipped. It was pretty bad. I think a lot of people don’t realize just how extreme and hurtful PETA is. It’s a shame some normal animal lovers think they have the same interest in mind.
