I can see where you're coming from (I'd include Delhomme and maybe Collins in the far worse category, but that's not a huge deal), but the fact remains that not every QB in the playoffs was better than Jason, so it's not like he couldn't lead a team to the playoffs. People who think, "we'll never go anywhere with Jason," history completely disproves that idea. Other things really have to fall into place, and that may be a lot to ask with a one running back system (essentially) that's based on a 28 year old running back.
That said, I think Jason is going to take a big stride this season. Playing with essentially the same group of receivers, in the same system, I could see him putting up some gaudy numbers and leading this team to 10+ wins.
It's true, I might be drinking the Kool-Aid, but I think this team has the potential to be as good as any in the league this season.
