Just curious if the drops by WR statistic for starting QBs is something everybody new about? I didn't know the stat but man it was just so obvious watching last year...for all his ability Moss just gets the dropsies too often (I know it's not all on him). I really hope the WR corp is more consistent this year  |
It's one of those "gray" stats if I'm not mistaken. I don't think you can find drops on NFL.com, Yahoo, or a lot of the other sources of stats that average fans or fantasy players have access to. There are some obscure sites, like iWon.com, who keep them around though:

Those numbers obviously aren't square with what Wise was saying, since it shows Santana with 8 drops, but you can probably use them to compare WR's.
What's pretty interesting is the other stat -- passes not caught -- which doesn't assign blame to the WR, but instead subtracts completions from targets:
