Here are the positives for Sean Taylor:

He is a physical specimen. He is bigger and faster and hits harder than any other DB on the team.

WHEN/IF he learns to tackle - not clobber - opponents and WHEN/IF he realizes that there are reasons why he has assignments in specific defenses that he really should not abandon and WHEN/IF he ever gets his off-field life in some kind of order, he has the POTENTIAL to be a great player.

Remember that potential means he has not yet done a damned thing so he is nowhere near great yet. In fact, he's less than one should have expected from the first defensive player taken in the draft.

That's as positive as I can be at the moment even with this being the New Year and all of us trying to be kinder and gentler and all that stuff. Now WHEN/IF ...
