You know what's interesting is how the following seems to be overlooked:
- Rypien spent the 1986 and 1987 seasons on injured reserve, so really he was in his 6th season playing when they won the Super Bowl (and of course, that was a great team all around)
- Doug Williams started less than a full season for the Redskins during his time here and had a losing record with us. But he had the magic touch for one month in 1988. (He was 2-0 during the regular season as the "relief QB")
- Joe Theismann spent I believe 4 years as the punt returner/backup QB and then another 4 until he got the Redskins to the Super Bowl (not to mention all the years he spent in the CFL prior to all that)
So why can't Campbell ever accomplish what any of those guys did?
