From what I heard on ESPN radio this morning Favre was going to announce his retirement last night in the postgame press conference, he went in to Sherman's office to tell him and Sherman had to talk him out of it and told him to take a few weeks to think about it.
With what he's gone through this year I guess it's not hard to believe.
