The Swedish have a drug that can actually begin to regrow the liver (or so they say!) but the FDA refuses to certify it. Mainly because it isn't from one of the many pharmicetical (sp?) companies that spend millions lobbying Congress every year to keep our prescription medicine to almost twice of what most developed countries pay!
Anyhow, I hope Pat gets it!
