As far as picks next year lets say a new salary cap does get into place with a new collective bargaining agreement - with our current salary cap strcuture can we even afford a top 5 pick - whether it be a lineman or qb? I know that trading a pick takes two sides but I think if a salary cap is in place next year we may not have a choice in keeping that pick even if it means not getting fair value by trading down - there are consequences when you give massive contracts to big time free agents.

As far as which position I prefer to build the offensive line and do it via the draft and maybe pick one or two players via free agency - although with our cap I don't really know if this is viable since all decent offensive lineman command big salaries.

Lets try to learn from history here guys - one of the main reasons we won 3 superbowls was because of the hogs - once we get that unit up to speed the other parts can be put into place.
