I want to tell DS to put away those 3 SB trophies b/c we haven't won jack since you've been here. He should stand up and tell Skins fans, "We're putting away those trophies, we respect the past, but the past is the past and we're going to get another one soon."
So, I do respect the history, but it was a long time ago. This isn't a knock on the post, it just reminded me of some feelings about the team that i have.
As JG's sais, "The past don't buy you anything."

I feel the same way. Snyder had nothing to do with earning those trophies, he should not bring them out for press conferences. He basically bought the right of of those trophies.
The Redskins should place those three trophies in a case with a BIG picture of Jack Kent Cooke, Bobby Bethard and Joe Gibbs behind the trophies.
Regarding looking back at the great Skins teams, I think it is good to look back every once in a while and remind ourselves what a good team looks like. How to distinguish between good football teams and pretenders.
When certain few of us gave dire warnings this past preseason about the sub par play of the redskins, others here got defensive and said, 'it is only preseason'. Nothing pissed me off more than the whole 'a win is a win' attitude by some here.
It is good to measure yourself against good teams, like the past great Redskins teams or the current good teams (like Giants or Saints), don't measure yourself against who you beat. That was the biggest mistake during our winning streak early last season.
