Okay, first of all McCants is in Gibbs doghouse and I wouldn't be suprised to see him traded to a team with real WR problems for a low pick (another waste of money since he got a new roster or a bonus or some couple mil thing last year.)

Second of all, I feel our poor running game stemmed mainly from our poor passing game rather than blocking. Did you notice where they almost always played man coverage and put the safeties in the box? This is much easier to do when you never open up more to more than two WRs. We need to show different formation, including multiple receivers, and we do need to lead with a true fullback from time to time. I feel Portis will be fine if we can make teams respect the passing game. Not to mention with them looking to emphasive illegal contact we can get some huge gains and not even throw the ball (or throw it and get larger gains)!

Jacobs I feel will be a great receiver for us. He's first round talent gotten in the 2nd (thanks to a flu at the combine.) Spurrier took a lot of shit on this board for that pick, most everyone wanted Mike Doss, but Jacobs has great speed and strong hands. I think he'll making a push for that 2nd WR spot, especially if we draft a rookie.

I think a TE is crucial to the offense and creates matchup problems. Whoever mentioned Shockey, what has he done since his rookie year? Answer - nothing. However, TGon and THeap are great TEs that can cause matchup nightmares for opposing defenses. I wouldn't be upset if we drafted Miller because I certainly think he has the temperment he wants, but I think we have more important needs, and I don't think he's a beast like other top flight TEs.

KWII injury prone because someone breaks his leg early in his career? Don't count on it, he's still the best TE taken last year and the Browns will be centering their offense around him for years to come.

Coles still has a long way to go to get healthy again. I hope he can, but I agree with a previous poster that he could certainly start dropping in status. Unfortunately that massive contract doesn't get any smaller along with the role he plays on the team.

The nice things about speedy defenses is counters, reverses, etc can really open them up. See Super Bowl XVII, now I know Gibbs could sting the killer bees, let's hope he can bring that back. Portis has top class speed and can be a homerun threat. We need to get him one on one matchups with linebackers. I really feel spreading the field will help that. I think our line has more potential talent than we think, but we can't make big changes to the line and expect it to get better every year. I want a center, and then I want to leave them alone! If Dockery doesn't improve, replace him at some point.
