Looking at all the UFA's at the CB position at least helps ease the pain if Smoots bails for the $$$

There are several UFA's at CB that can step in & play close if not at the same level that Smoots played.

Unfortunately, Smoot's numbers are far superior to any FA's available with a 4 year career:
