I do not agree with Bush's politics or policies regarding Iraq, the world, or just about anything, but it always does my heart good when I see people defy hatred, violence, and fear. I don't know how many of you remember when the Soviet Union collapsed, a bunch of hard-liners tried to stage a mini-coup and retake the Kremlin. The people of Moscow took to the streets to stop them. Or that man who stood in defiance of the Chinese tanks in Tianamen square. Only God knows where that brave soul is now. One thing that bothers me is why can't we as Americans have as high a turn-out rate in our elections? And we don't have anyone threatening bodily harm to us.....
