Dave Kreig, Vinny Testaverde, Warren Moon, Trent Green...all a few of the older QBs who came before Favre.

He's not starting a trend, he's just one of many who have done the same. Now Brett is competing at a much higher level at the older age, but he's not the first QB to play well into his 40s.

I think Frank Tarkenton may be one of the "founders" of the feat.
