Re: Art Monk tribute page

"During Art Monk's 14-year career with the Washington Redskins, the Redskins went to 5 NFC Championship games (winning 4) and won 3 Super Bowl titles. The Redskins were a team of talented players, to be sure. But more than that, they were a team of hard working, humble, community-oriented people of strong character. No player on the team, perhaps the entire league, better personified this mix of talent, work ethic, and humility than Art Monk. Look beyond Monk's 940 career receptions, 5th in history when he retired, or his record-breaking 106 catch season in 1984. Consider that Monk sacrificied bigger numbers and more personal glory to help open lanes for the running game, or allow other receivers such as Gary Clark and Ricky Sander to face man coverage deep. A record-breaking, team-first player who remains today a pillar in the community-that is a Hall of Famer, that is Art Monk."
