His cap number for 2005 is $3,357,142. If he is released straightup the cap hit is $9,285,710. So he has to give back at least $5,928,570 to break us even on the deal. We better be doing better than that. I don't understand why we don't just trade him? It makes no sense whatsoever to release him. If you make a handshake deal that has him give back ALL of his remaining SB and then only trade him to a team he approves of and on the condition that he can restructure with them to get some guranteed money then it works out for all. I mean we probably wouldn't get much of a deal in a trade but it is better than nothing. I am thinking like a 5th round pick. I mean at this point a 5th round pick and cap space would be better than a middle finger as he walks out the door.
