interesting comment about Portis' contract as it relates to the capless year and a new CBA instituted after that from someone by the name of Spear on extremeskins:

Does anyone know if the part in italics is true or not? If its true, then there really is no benefit of releasing a player in 2010 based soley on your desire to be rid of an inflated contract.
