Why?
Daniels played well last year and he's a natural fit for a 3-4 DE.
I didn't see Carter play when he was in San Fran, i can only go by what i heard. And i heard that he struggled; but Carter is a good at 4-3 DE and being that he has experiece playing 3-4 OLB it stands to reason he
could be
decent at 3-4 OLB.

Would you rather a 'taller, slimmer' guy who isn't used to taking on blocks from heavy OL or an actual SAM backer who is used to taking on a shedding blocks?
