Personally I can't believe they're giving Portis another shot. I'd rather try and find the next great nobody in Shanahan's offense then give a bunch of carries to Portis.
Doesn't mean we're keeping Portis forever, just they make think that with what we have to work with, it's more important to focus elsewhere at the moment. It could also mean whoever we bring in/draft, etc might not be a day 1 starter, which wouldn't be anything unheard of.
