He's AWFUL at tackling, always goes for the blow up hit instead of wrapping up, and he's so bad in coverage. He bites on pump fakes like they're cheesecake. Plus he's a hot head and is good for multiple bonehead personal fouls every year.
He's my LEAST favorite defensive player, and next to Portis he's probably my least favorite Redskin.

Okay, its not a waste. Its another place i get to show support for my homie Landry. Yes, he is extremely athletic but thats not why im sayin keep him. It took Sean Taylor this long to reach his potential as well. But Sean Taylor didnt hafta switch positions either. Landry is no Taylor, ill be the 1st to say it, but Landry's learning curve has been steeper due to position change. n okay, if yu wanna say he played FS in college, then LSU used their FS in the box n just switched his title. Maybe his position was listed as "FS" but for the most part he was in the box, except when disguising coverages. He's not regressing, coming out of college the knocks on him was he wasn't a sure tackler and coverage was an issue so we already knew that. Not improving is different then regressing. but if he makes a permanent move back to SS so he can play in the box, in the middle of the field, cover the flats, n help support the run defense, then his potential to help our Defense will improve tremendously. You dont hafta be a great tackler to be disruptive as hell. His problem is he needs to have a coach that believes in him and pushes him to work harder. And as far as the late/hard hits, he does overdo it sometimes. but he is one of the only players on our defense who displays SWAGGER! I hate that word cuz of how often it is used now but he HAS IT. They say ur defense takes on the personality of their coach. well wit Greg Blache, thats exactly what happened. Everyone played like a soft spoken, prevent defense with no aggression whatsoever. Haynesworth and Landry are the only two who didnt transform into boring players (Fletcher is an exception cuz he is phenomenal even tho he is quiet). The only two who looked like they were on the field to take it to the other team week in and week out regardless of their record. So he celebrates after routine tackles? So what. Let him. He's the only one out there who looks like he is having fun. Maybe you guys are all okay with boring zombie like personalities but if the whole defense could could get swagger like Landry we could become a FEARED defense. Thats why i hope he can move to SS, so he can start making plays and be the leader he should be. If he throws a few "remember me" hits, then thats a price to pay. But i wanna be the 1st defense in along time to be so feared that it gets a nickname like some of the great 80's defenses.
