Basically, the probability of winning the game is 10 percent above 50-50 for the coin toss winner under the current NFL game, with the passing game given much leeway as it is now. Make 'em go the distance. Touchdowns are more "convincing", for lack of a better word, and utterly BS PI calls won't result in a >90% chance of a FG to seal the deal.
