As of today we need to draft/sign 7 legitimate starters to be a better team than last year: RT, LT, some combination of 2 dlinemen, 1 OLB (unless Wilson makes huge strides), 1 CB (to replace Rogers/Smoot), and a legitimate NFL FS. So yeah I count 7 and we'll only get 2 starters in the draft.
I understand there's new, smarter, mgmt in place but I think forcing the 3-4 scheme this year basically demanded a very aggressive FA plan to keep the defense from taking a big step backward...especially considering Haslett is hardly a whiz when it comes to producing great defenses.

It's hard for me to understand how Bruce Allen could let the Skins first choice at LT get out of town without signing a contract unless Clifton simply used his visit to Washington as leverage to get the deal he wanted from Green Bay.
One thing is for sure: At this point I don't have a clue about what to expect from Shanahan and Allen this offseason.
